Northern Territory Police have recovered two stolen vehicles and are continuing to search for a third after three vehicles were allegedly stolen during a burglary in Pinelands over the weekend.

At around 8am on Sunday 6 September 2026, the owner of a business attended Palmerston Police Station and reported the premises had been unlawfully entered overnight and three Nissan Navaras stolen.

The vehicles were subsequently detected travelling south along the Stuart Highway, prompting a coordinated response involving Strike Force Trident and police from Palmerston, Adelaide River and Daly River.

At around 8:40am, Strike Force Trident members located one of the stolen vehicles, a grey Nissan Navara, abandoned near Acacia.

Adelaide River Police subsequently located a second grey Nissan Navara abandoned near Stapleton Creek, north of Adelaide River.

The third vehicle, a white Nissan Navara with Northern Territory registration CA73VN, was later allegedly involved in a fuel drive-off at Adelaide River before continuing south.

Daly River Police deployed tyre spikes in an effort to intercept the vehicle. The device was deployed but was unsuccessful, and the vehicle continued from the area.

Police believe the vehicle may have continued towards Wadeye, with local police notified and investigations ongoing.

Strike Force Trident detectives are reviewing CCTV and conducting further enquiries to identify those involved and recover the outstanding vehicle.

Police urge anyone who sees the white Nissan Navara, registration CA73VN, not to approach it and to contact police immediately on 131 444.
