The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating a serious harm incident that occurred in Tiwi in the early hours of this morning.

At 12:10am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that an adult male had been stabbed by an unknown offender in front of a school on Henbury Avenue in Tiwi.

Casuarina police members attended, and a crime scene has been established.

The victim suffered injuries to his upper body and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious but stable condition by St John Ambulance.

The alleged offender remains outstanding, and investigations are ongoing by the Serious Crime Section.
