The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged a 17-year-old male and a 25-year-old male in relation to a burglary that occurred in Tennant Creek this week.

Around 5:30pm on Tuesday 22 September, it is alleged the two males unlawfully entered a residence on Caroline Street and stole multiple items of jewellery.

Members from Operation Talon commenced investigations and identified the offenders involved after reviewing CCTV footage. They were arrested and some of the stolen goods were recovered.

Both were charged with Burglary, Damage to Property and Theft, and will appear in court at a later date.

Acting Senior Sergeant Adrian Hertman praised the efficient and timely investigative work by Operation Talon members.

“This was a fantastic outcome allowing cherished stolen items to be returned to the victim.

“Police believed some items of jewellery remain outstanding and urge anyone with information to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference NTP2600092034.”
