Call for information – Aggravated robbery – Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs earlier this morning.

Around 4am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a 30-year-male had been assaulted and had his vehicle stolen from a grocery store carpark on Lyndavale Drive in Larapinta.

It is alleged around 3:30am the victim attended the carpark and engaged in a conversation with a 30-year-old male known to him. The 30-year-old allegedly punched the victim and threatened him with an edged weapon, before the victim sought refuge in nearby scrubland. The offender stole the victim’s 2007 Black Dodge Avenger and left the location.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Both the offender and the Dodge Avenger remain outstanding.
