Four males have been arrested following an aggravated assault in Casuarina on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4:40pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received multiple reports of an unconscious male at a bus exchange in Casuarina.

Four offenders were reported to have knocked the victim to the ground and allegedly stomped on his head.

The victim, a 48-year-old male, was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Darwin Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition after suffering serious injuries to his head.

Two 19-year-old males, a 26-year-old male and a 30-year-old male were all arrested.
