Arrest - Domestic Violence - Karama

A woman in her 50s has been arrested following a domestic violence incident in Karama on Saturday.

Around 2:50pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a woman in her 30s had been assaulted with a glass bottle by a woman known to her at a bus stop on Kalymnos Drive, Karama.

Casuarina General Duties attended the scene to find the victim had suffered a serious injury to her lower left leg. They performed first aid before she was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The 54-year-old offender was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
