The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 35-year-old male following a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs earlier today.

Around 9:15am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received reports of an adult female being assaulted by a male on Pedler Avenue.

It is alleged the offender physically assaulted the victim before entering a vehicle and driving towards her, forcing her to take evasive action to avoid being struck.

Police attended and commenced investigations. At 10:15am, the 35-year-old offender, who is the victim's partner, was located and arrested.
