The Northern Territory Police Force is seeking public assistance in identifying a vehicle of interest after a road injury occurred in Darwin this morning.

Around 9:20am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a motorbike rider was struck by debris that had fallen off a truck on Tiger Brennan Drive.

The maroon flatbed truck was travelling outbound in the vicinity of Hook Road when debris from the truck hit the 34-year-old male rider. The truck failed to stop and left the scene.

The rider was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
