The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a vehicle that was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Tennant Creek this morning.
Around 5am, police received a report of an aggravated burglary at a residence on Turner Street in Tennant Creek. It is alleged two male youths, one armed with an edged weapon, broke into the residence and when the 26-year-old male victim confronted them, the armed offender physically assaulted him and attempted to strike him with the weapon.
The offenders subsequently stole a Subaru XV station wagon and fled the scene.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
Police immediately responded, and around 5:15am successfully deployed tyre deflation devices, however the vehicle and offenders remain outstanding.
