Call for information – Domestic violence – Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a domestic violence related aggravated assault that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.

Around 3pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a female and a male had been stabbed by a female offender at a licensed premises on Todd Street.

The offender had allegedly stabbed the female victim to the back of the head with an edged weapon. A male intervened and was also allegedly stabbed to the arm and upper body, before the offender fled the scene.

All three persons involved are believed to be known to each other.

Police and St John Ambulance members attended, and the two victims were conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital with minor injuries.
