The Northern Territory Police Force are calling for information following an assault that occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 8:15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of an altercation between two men outside a business on Todd Street.

It is alleged a 51-year-old man was physically assaulted and knocked unconscious by another man who fled the scene on foot.

The 51-year-old was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The offender remains outstanding, and investigations remain ongoing.
