The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs this morning.
At 10:51am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a male staff member at a service station in Sadadeen had been stabbed after he confronted 2 males attempting to steal items from the store.
The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
Earlier, about 10:40am, the shop worker noted the 2 males trying to steal items and when they left the store with the goods the 26-year-old staff member approached them and asked for the items to be returned.
The offenders are then captured on CCTV pushing the victim to the ground and while standing over him one offender punches the victim once to the head.
While the victim was still on the ground the other offender lunged at him with an edged weapon, stabbing him once to the forearm.
Both offenders then walked from the location and remain outstanding.
St John Ambulance and Police were called immediately after the offenders had left.
Police believe the 2 individuals pictured may be able to help with their inquiries and are keen to talk to them. The public are advised not to approach them if they see them, but call police immediately.
