The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred earlier today in Alice Springs.

Around 10:30am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that an unknown male youth offender had entered a business in Newland Street, Gillen and threatened a female staff member.

It is alleged the offender initially requested a glass of water, before threatening the victim with an edged weapon, demanding car keys. The offender subsequently stole the victim’s car keys and fled the scene in her white Mitsubishi Outlander with NT registration CD 83 PR.

The victim did not sustain any injuries, and the offender and the stolen motor vehicle remain outstanding.
