The Northern Territory Police Force are calling for information after an aggravated burglary occurred in Katherine on Saturday morning.

Around 3:30am, police received reports that a 35-year-old female had woken to the sound of someone in her house in Katherine South. The female excited her bedroom and confronted the unknown male offender who allegedly threw an object at her and fled the scene on foot.

The victim suffered minor injuries and declined medical assistance.

Investigations are ongoing.
