Call for information – Aggravated burglary – Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force are calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday afternoon.

At 4.15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an aggravated burglary at a residence on South Terrace.

The female occupant was alone in the house when three offenders allegedly broke a window and gained entry to the premises. The offenders were allegedly armed with edged weapons and confronted the victim, during which she suffered stab wounds to her hands, arms, and head.

The offenders, who are believed to be known to the victim, fled the location and remain outstanding. Nil items were reported stolen from the residence.

Police responded and provided first aid to the victim. She was subsequently transported to Alice Springs Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.
