The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred in Alice Springs on Saturday.
It is alleged at 2:30pm, a 33-year-old female attended a residence on Gap Road. Once inside the property, an altercation occurred between the 33-year-old and a 40-year-old male. The male allegedly carried the victim outside the property and dropped her headfirst onto the ground.
The victim attended a nearby licensed premises and notified police performing point of sale intervention (POSI) duties.
She suffered injuries to her head and neck and was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital by St John Ambulance.
