The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested three male youth offenders in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs early this morning.
Around 1am, police received reports of an aggravated burglary at a licensed premises on Todd Street in the Alice Springs CBD. It is alleged three male offenders forced their way into the premises via the main entrance and stole a quantity of alcohol before fleeing the scene. An internal door sustained significant damage as a result of the incident.
Police responded immediately and a 16-year-old male was located and arrested after a short foot pursuit.
The two remaining offenders, aged 14 and 15, were located and arrested by Strike Force Viper members around 6am this morning at an address in East Side.
The 14-year-old and the 16-year-old were dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.
The 15-year-old has been charged with Aggravated burglary, Damage to property, and Theft in relation to this incident.
He has also been charged with Driving, using or riding a motor vehicle without consent, Reckless endanger serious harm, Damage to property, and Driving unlicensed after police investigations established he was involved in a dangerous driving incident that occurred last week in Alice Springs.
