The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 28-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.
Around 7am, the offender allegedly attended the residence of a female known to him and, after initially refusing to leave, left around two hours later. Around 9pm, he returned to the residence and allegedly physically assaulted the victim and threatened her with an edged weapon, before physically assaulting her a second time after she fled outside.
The victim subsequently attended the Alice Springs Police Station to report the incident.
Police commenced investigations and arrested the 28-year-old male without incident at a residence in Gillen earlier this morning.
