The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating a death in Alice Springs.

Around 8am today, police responded to a report of a deceased woman at a residence in Braitling.

Emergency services attended and the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene. Police are currently treating the death as suspicious.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.

A crime scene has been established and detectives from Crime Command are investigating.
