UPDATE: Victim identification - fatal crashes - Northern Territory

Northern Territory Police have formally identified two pedestrians who died in recent crashes across the Territory.

The pedestrian killed at Mataranka on 18 January 2024  has been identified as a 22-year-old man.

The pedestrian killed at Noonamah on 3 February 2024 has been identified as a 34-year-old man.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said “ The identification of the deceased from the Mataranka fatal crash was the result of extensive work by detectives and forensic officers.

"The 22-year-old man’s identity was confirmed from DNA analysis of samples provided by his family."
