Northern Territory Police have now arrested 3 offenders allegedly involved in this mornings violent assault police incident in Milikapiti.

Three men, aged 17, 19 and 44 were arrested without incident earlier today and currently remain in custody.

The 19-year-old man was the initial arrest target, who was the subject of an arrest operation at 6am, for his alleged involvement in domestic violence and weapon offences.

The officer who was knocked unconscious has since been transferred to Darwin for further assessment.

Additional officers have arrived in the community to provide respite to local members and to continue investigations into the incident.
