Northern Territory Police are expecting to charge 3 people in relation to the death of a 19-year-old man east of Alice Springs on New Year’s Day.
Earlier today, an application for the extradition of a 22-year-old man in Victoria was successful and he will be conveyed back to Alice Springs tomorrow to appear before court on the charge of murder.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch are preparing to charge a 17 and 21-year-old with Accessory after the fact (murder). It is expected they will be remanded to appear in court tomorrow.
A 20-year-old man has been released pending further investigations.
Detectives have been in contact with the deceased family to update them on the progress of the investigation and the status of the charges that will be laid later today.
