Northern Territory Police have located the crocodile responsible for an attack on a 12-year-old child near Palumpa last week.
A 4.2 metre crocodile was shot by local rangers on Sunday with the permission of the Traditional Owners. The animal resurfaced yesterday, where it was confirmed to be the animal that attacked the 12-year-old child.
The family and community have been notified and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Senior Sergeant Erica Gibson said “ The events of last week have had a huge impact on the family and local police are continuing to provide support to everyone impacted.
“ The family have requested privacy as they grieve.”
