Fatal crash - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian which occurred at 12.59am on Sunday 15 September 2024. A silver SUV station wagon was travelling south along Telegraph Terrace which struck a pedestrian.

Emergency Services attended and a male was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the motor vehicle sustained no injures and is assisting police with their investigation.

A crime scene has been established on Telegraph Terrace, investigations are ongoing and both south bound lanes are currently closed and are expected to remain closed for some time.

Traffic diversions are in place and drivers of light and heavy vehicles are advised to obey all road signs in the area. Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternative routes of travel.
