Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance following the escape of two male prisoners from the Darwin Watch House on Knuckey Street earlier this morning.

At approximately 4:50am, the two prisoners were last sighted near Bridge Toyota on Stuart Highway in Darwin City. One prisoner was shirtless, wearing dark shorts and thongs. The second prisoner was wearing a green t-shirt, dark shorts, and thongs. Members of the public are urged not to approach the individuals if sighted but to contact police immediately.

Police are conducting extensive searches and urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of these prisoners to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
