Charges – Sexual assault – Darwin City

Police

Northern Territory Police have charged 2 men in relation to a sexual assault in Darwin City earlier this month.

Police will alleged that 2 men, aged 36 and 38, sexually assaulted a woman on 14 January 2024 in the vicinity of the Darwin CBD. Both men were not known to the woman.

Police received the information 4 days after the alleged incident and detectives from Sex Crimes have been investigating since that information was received.

Yesterday morning, both men were arrested without incident and both have since been charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent and remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
