Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a Domestic Violence related assault in Darwin yesterday.

Around 11.55am, the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre was notified of an aggravated assault at a residential address in Wagaman.

It was reported that a female had been stabbed to the foot, leg and lower back and was bleeding heavily.

The female victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in stable condition.

58-year-old man, known to the woman, was arrested at the scene.

He has since been charged by Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit with Aggravated assault and bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 13 June 2024.
