Call for information – Serious harm – Katherine

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a serious harm incident that occurred in Katherine overnight.

Around 12:30am, police received reports of a 32-year-old man with serious injuries at a residence on Fourth Street.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was conveyed Katherine Hospital for treatment, before being airlifted by CareFlight to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Initial investigations indicate the man was allegedly assaulted by two men, known to the victim, near the Victoria Highway.

Members from the Katherine Criminal Investigation Branch have carriage of the incident.
