Call for information – Disturbance – Nightcliff

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to multiple assaults that occurred in Nightcliff yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:20pm, police received reports that a man had assaulted multiple people along Oleander Street, Nightcliff, in the vicinity of the shopping centre.

Police attended shortly after the report and located a man who was subsequently arrested. Four victims were identified, 3 men and a woman, with one man allegedly assaulted with an edged weapon, resulting in a stab wound to his abdomen. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the man was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The remaining 3 victims suffered minor injuries.

A 24-year-old man is currently in custody and is expected to be charged later today.   

At this stage there is no indication that the victims were known to the offender.

The Serious Crime Squad are currently investigating the matter and urge anyone in the area with dash-cam or CCTV footage to make contact on 131 444 and quote reference number NTP2400090720.
