Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred overnight in Katherine South.

Around 10.50pm, police received reports that a group of 3 males, one of which armed with an edged weapon, allegedly entered a residence on Lucy Street and attempted to steal items before being confronted by the occupants.

The group allegedly assaulted the occupants of the residence during their escape and subsequently dropped the stolen items and weapon while fleeing.

Investigations are ongoing.
