Call for information - Aggravated Robbery – Katherine

Northern Territory Police are calling for information regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred in Katherine earlier this week.

Around 11pm on Monday 14 October, it is alleged that four unknown males forced entry into a unit on Mannion Street, Katherine. They reportedly entered the residence, physically assaulted an 80-year-old male victim with a metal bar, and then fled the scene after stealing alcohol.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and was conveyed to Katherine District Hospital in a stable condition.

A short time later, police received information that 4 males were seen walking along First Street into O'Shea Park.

Strike Force Cerberus are investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward on 131 444.

Police are particularly interested in CCTV and Dash-cam footage from the area between 10pm and 2am.
