Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred in Darwin City on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 4:40pm, police received reports that 2 male youths, one of which was armed with an edged weapon, had allegedly stolen a bag from an employee at a restaurant in the Vic Arcade, The Mall.

A short time later, the youths attended a café on Cavenagh Street where they allegedly threatened a security guard with an edged weapon, after the guard confronted them whilst they attempted to steal items within the store. They subsequently assaulted the guard and fled the scene.
