Call for information – Aggravated burglary – Larapinta

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Larapinta, Alice Springs yesterday afternoon.

At 1.15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre received a report of an intruder at a premises on Bokhara Street in Larapinta.

A 61-year-old female victim had returned home from work and observed a group of youths outside her driveway. Two youths, one allegedly armed with a blunt object, have approached the victim, and demanded she hand over her vehicle keys and handbag, which she refused.

The offenders initially fled the scene but returned a short time later. One offender allegedly gained access to the residence by breaking a window. No items were stolen, and the offenders again fled the area.

Members from Strike Force Viper, the Dog Operations Unit and general duties members responded and arrested three female offenders, all aged 13, after a short foot pursuit.

The three offenders were remanded into custody and will appear in court today. Strike Force Viper are continuing the investigation into this matter.
