Call for information - Aggravated burglary - Katherine

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated burglary occurred in Katherine on Sunday.

Around 2:35am, police received reports that a large group of youths unlawfully entered a service station on Katherine Terrace.

The group allegedly broke a window to gain entry before security arrived and they fled the scene.

A short time later, the group returned and allegedly began throwing rocks at the security vehicle resulting in the vehicle leaving the area.

The group subsequently returned to the service station and stole multiple items before fleeing the scene on foot.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stephen Jones said, “Strike Force Cerberus is currently investigating this matter.

"This type of behaviour is unacceptable, and Katherine police are and will work tirelessly to identify and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
