Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs this morning.
Around 4am, four unknown male youths reportedly attended an address in Mount Johns in a Silver Toyota Camry that had been stolen from a separate property two days earlier. The offenders have allegedly search through the front yard and unsuccessfully tried to gain access to the residence and two parked vehicles in the driveway.
The offenders were startled by the occupant and fled the scene in the Camry.
At 4.15am, another occupant was approached by the offenders outside his residence on Ragonesi road in Ross. Three of the offenders allegedly threatened him with a edged weapon and attempted to force him into the vehicle while stealing items. The victim was then directed by the offenders back to his residence where they made demands for money.
The offenders subsequently fled the scene just prior to police arrival, leaving the stolen Camry behind.
Police attended and a crime scene was declared. All four offenders remain outstanding.
