Call for information – Aggravated burglary – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday morning.

Around 10.20am, police received reports of two unknown males unlawfully entering a residence on Coolibah Crescent in East Side.

The offenders allegedly kicked down the door of the residence while the sole-occupant, a 66-year-old female, was sleeping in a bedroom.

The pair allegedly entered the bedroom and demanded car keys, before stealing the victim’s handbag. One offender allegedly assaulted the victim when she tried to prevent them from stealing her bag.

Both males used the stolen car keys to steal a silver sedan with a black bonnet parked at the residence before fleeing the scene. The stolen vehicle has South Australian registration S213 CHG.
