Northern Territory Police have arrested 4 male youths in relation to 2 aggravated robberies in Darwin City yesterday evening.

Around 6:40pm, a woman was approached by 4 male youths, on Harvey Street. The group allegedly threatened the woman with an edged weapon and demanded she give them her vehicle.

When the woman exited the vehicle she was allegedly threatened with an edged weapon before she was able to flee with her keys.

The offenders were able to start the vehicle, but not drive as the vehicle was push start and the keys were out of range. The group allegedly fled the scene on foot.

In a second incident around 10:30pm, the same offenders approached a taxi parked at a service station on the corner of McMinn and Daly Street, and allegedly assaulted the driver with a blunt weapon and demanded to be given the vehicle keys.

The offenders allegedly stole small items from the vehicle before fleeing on foot.

The victim has since been transported to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

Police located and arrested two males aged 13 and 14 and two males aged 11.

The 13 and 14-year-old remain in custody and are expected to be charged at a later time today.

The two 11-year-old’s were conveyed into the care of a responsible adult and a referral has been made to Territory Families.
