Arrest – Crash – Gunn Point

Northern Territory Police have arrested a youth after a man was injured falling from a vehicle at Gunn Point last night.

Around 6:40pm, emergency services received reports a 19-year-old man had fallen from the flatbed of a Toyota Hilux being driven erratically along Gunn Point Beach.

Palmerston general duties officers and St John Ambulance attended the scene where the man was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment via CareFlight after suffering injuries to his leg.

The vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Members from the Darwin Traffic Operations located the vehicle in McMinns Lagoon earlier today and arrested a 17-year-old male.

He currently remains in custody assisting police with enquiries.
