Update – Property offending – Northern Suburbs

Police

Northern Territory Police have arrested the remaining offenders involved in several crimes, where multiple vehicles were stolen, and three businesses were ram-raided.

Throughout the early hours of yesterday, police tracked the movements of the group, who were committing a range of property offences throughout the northern suburbs, before arresting four youths in one of the stolen motor vehicles.

However, the work didn’t end there for members who had tirelessly worked throughout the day and into the night. Strike Force Trident commenced an investigation to identify the remaining offenders. Six youths were identified, and with the assistance of the Dog Operations Unit, police conducted arrests at various addresses in the Darwin and Palmerston areas.

All ten youths, aged between 12 and 17, have now been charged with offences ranging from aggravated burglary, property damage, driving a vehicle recklessly, serious breach of bail and theft. Seven youths were remanded to appear before the court today, and the remaining three will appear in court on 10 July 2023.
