Northern Territory Police have charged a man after a hit and run incident in Gray earlier this week.

A 30-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident, after handing himself into police. Detectives from Serious Crime have since charged him with:

• Recklessly endangering serious harm
• Drive manner dangerous
• Fail to stop after accident
• Aggravated assault

He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 15 February 2023.

The 31-year-old female, who was known to the man, is expected to make a full recovery.
