Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the Roper Highway overnight.

Just before 9am this morning, the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre (JESCC) received a call about a vehicle that had rolled over about 35km north of the Jilkminggan access road.

NT Police and Mataranka Clinic responded to the incident. The 22-year-old male was declared deceased at the scene.

A crime scene has been declared, with the Roper Highway being closed whilst investigations continue.

Anyone who was travelling along the Roper Highway between midnight and 8:30am 17 October 2023 who may have dash cam footage is urged to contact police on 131 444 with reference to P23287182.
