Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal crash in Howard Springs overnight.

The incident is believed to have happened just before 9:30pm, when a motorcycle rider attempted to overtake a vehicle at high speed and failed to navigate the corner on Whitewood Road, before the Howard Springs Road intersection.

Emergency services were called to the crash; however, the 31-year-old male rider was declared deceased at the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage of Whitewood Road between 9:00pm and 9:30pm, to contact them on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10481340.
