Northern Territory Police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Darwin this morning.

At 4:30am, emergency services received reports that a man had been struck on the inbound lane of Tiger Brennan Drive, Charles Darwin. 

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene to render assistance, however, the pedestrian was declared deceased by St John Ambulance on attendance.

The Major Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
