Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred near Arlparra community yesterday.

At 4:40pm, police received reports of a single vehicle rollover on the Sandover Highway, 112km South of Alrparra Community and 40km North of the Plenty Highway turn off. There were two occupants in the car at the time of the crash.

Emergency services arrived and declared a 27-year-old female, the driver of the vehicle, deceased. The passenger was initially transported to Arlparra clinic with non-life threatening injuries.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit are continuing the investigation into the crash.

NT Work Safe has been notified of the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
