NT Police are investigating a stabbing on the northern end of Todd Street that occurred this afternoon.  

Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, and the victim was transported to Alice Springs Hospital in a critical condition however, died as a result of his injuries.

A male is in custody assisting police with their inquiries. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and would like to speak to any witnesses that were in the vicinity of the northern end of Todd Street and the intersection with Wills Terrace between 3:00pm and 3:30pm.    

Police are urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the incident to come forward and assist with their investigation.
