Charges – Property offences – Stuart Park

Northern Territory Police have charged two youths, aged 11 and 12, for multiple property offences at a business on Stuart Highway in Stuart Park last week.

At 8:30 pm on Friday, 2 youths unlawfully entered the premises and stole a quantity of cash.

The next day, 5 youths returned to the same premises, causing damage to the property in an attempted unlawful entry.

General duties officers attended and arrested 3 of the 5 youths.

A 12-year-old boy was charged with offending from both nights and bailed to appear in court on 14 April 2023.

An 11-year-old boy was charged with possess/use controlled weapon, damage to property and attempt unlawful entry. He was remanded to appear before the court on 11 April 2023. 

A separate 12-year-old boy will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act 2005.
