Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to offending against an adult and 2 children in a Roper Gulf Region community over the weekend.
In the early hours of 1 October 2023, police received reports that a 31-year-old man allegedly entered a residence where he indecently assaulted 2 children under the age of 16. The children were not known to the offender.
The man allegedly fled the location and unlawfully entered another residence where he indecently assaulted a woman that was known to him at a residence in the community.
Detectives from Katherine Criminal Investigation Branch investigated the incident and the man was arrested within the community on the same day without incident.
He has since been charged with:
2 x Aggravated burglary
2 x Indecent Assault
2 x indecently dealing with a child under 16
He was remanded to appear in Katherine Local Court today.
