Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to an incident just after 5:30pm yesterday, in which a woman was assaulted. 

The woman was walking on the Alice Springs Desert Park Trail between Blain Street and Albrecht Drive when an unknown man confronted her. The man allegedly grabbed the victim after exposing himself. The woman was able to escape and call for help, and the offender fled the scene. 

Detectives from the Southern Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the incident. The alleged offender is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, slim build and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a black cap, black hoodie and black basketball shorts.
