Call for information – Unlawful entries – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a number of unlawful entries in Alice Springs on Monday 2 January 2023.

Between 8:10pm and 9:00pm, a group of unknown offenders unlawfully entered seven units within a complex near the intersection of Dixon Road and Stuart Highway. A blue Toyota Kluger was stolen from one of the residences and was later seen by police being driven in the Alice Springs CBD.  

At 3.30am yesterday, the vehicle was recovered by police following the deployment of a tyre deflation device.

Strike Force Viper members are currently investigating the unlawful entries.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Robert Kent said “Investigations remain ongoing to identify the offenders. We would continue to urge the Alice Springs community to report all offences to Police on 131 444 or in an emergency 000.

“Police are particularly urging anyone within information, CCTV or dash cam footage of any suspicious behaviour along the Stuart Highway and Dixon Road around the reported time to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10221653.”
