Call for information - Sexual assault - Braitling

Northern Territory Police are appealing to the public for information regarding an alleged sexual assault of a woman in Alice Springs between 2 pm and 3:30 pm yesterday. 

The incident is said to have occurred near a laneway off Knuckey Avenue, between Hearne Place and Babbage Street in Braitling. 

The victim, a disabled woman, reported being sexually assaulted by an unknown perpetrator.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to come forward and provide any information and CCTV that may assist with the investigation.  

Detectives from the Regional Crime Division are leading the investigation and are following several lines of inquiry. Police are also conducting a forensic examination of the scene and speaking with potential witnesses.
